You've Been BOOZED With Halloween Candy Sushi & Wine
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays ever! And although this year many holidayβs have been cancelled I thought it would be fun to share an alternative idea and how to spread some spooky cheer. I created a Wine & Candy Sushi little bundle.
Letβs begin!
What Youβll Need:
Begin with choosing all the spooky candies you like!
But the primary ones youβll need are:
*Rice Krispy Treats - for imitating βsushi riceβ
*Candy Belts, or you can choose fruit roll ups or ones of some sort that are long for wrapping around the rice krispy.
Then you will need to choose some fun toppings to make them spooky. I found some from different local stores. I didn't use them all but hereβs a little glimpse of what I picked up:
How to make Candy Sushi
I started off by hand rolling the rice krispies in a βsushiβ like shape. I then cut my candy belts into smaller strips to fit the approx. width of the rice krispie and I had them stay by adding a little toothpick on the sides. I had to take this step to securing the strips because the candy belts I chose were the sugared ones. If you choose fruit rolls you may be able to avoid this step and just seal it by adding a dab of water to connect the end pieces. (For the gummies and zombie fingers I did an extra step of adding another candy belt strip to secure the candy).
I then chose the Halloween candy toppings that I liked the most to top off the solid round ones and that was it! Super simple way to create these fun candy sushi rolls.
To recreate this bundle you can find my printable bundle in my ETSY shop.
When you purchase the PDF file you will download it and get it printed whether its from home or your local printer shop. You can make as many as youβd like and gift them to family, friends and neighbors! This is a fun and great way to celebrate from a social distance.
Hereβs a little photo visual of what I did:
